I am violinist, accordionist, singer, pianist, and collaborator. From a childhood of classical training and studying Music at the University of Oxford, I now specialise in folk and traditional styles from the UK and around the world, as well as having experience in jazz, tango, and classical. I love to collaborate and explore the routes and connections running through different musics, and am always excited to be part of new, experimental projects.

Photograph of a band on stage performing at a ceilidh

Born out of the festival circuit in 2013, Guerrilla Ceilidh is a merry band of brothers and sisters who believe with revolutionary fervour that partner-swinging, do-si-do-ing and willow-stripping along to the finest music to be diddled is the only way to build a better world. They mix lively Irish fiddle tunes, driving guitar and funky trombone in the bass to create mischievous and feel-good sounds to get your feet going.

We’ve ceilidh-ed at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness, Purbeck Folk Festival, Camp Quirky, Oxfolk, and hundreds of a weddings and parties.

We collaborated with Yoko Pwno in 2019 to create a barn-storming Techno Ceilidh for Tandem Festival. If that’s what you’re looking for, just ask..!

I play with space-folk collective Jay Sunaway, on fiddle and vocals. Check out EP ‘sparrowfeather’ here.

I have recorded as a session violinist for The Bookshop Band, played in the Oxford Beatles Orchestra, been a member of Okina and Jay Sunaway, sung backing vocals for pecq, and been commissioned by TORCH to write and record music for an installation at the Oxford Castle.

I have collaborated and performed with musicians around the world, in India, Portugal, Russia, and France.
